YADA games which took place on the 16th February 2019 held in the form of a mini-contest at Government Bilingual School Etoug-Ebe, Yaounde. It has purpose to introduce children to alternatives to their time instead of drug use.
The contest took place in 3 categories: spoken words, drawing, general knowledge.
We had students from form 3, 4 and lowersixth. 5 students each took part in each of the 3 categories and each category had at least 1 representative from each form.
The winners were
- Best artist
- Best and runner up in general knowledge
- Best in spoken words
The jury was made up of 2 teachers who helped us judge the presentations. The winners each had cash prices and a t-shirt for the gifts. The other students had certificates of participation.
They all expressed their gratitude on how educative the program was and are eager to participate in more contests.
